The Museum of Online Museums

"At the Museum of Online Museums, you will find links from our archives to online collections and exhibits covering a vast array of interests and obsessions: Start with a review of classic art and architecture, and graduate to the study of mundane (and sometimes bizarre) objects elevated to art by their numbers, juxtaposition, or passion of the collector. The MoOM is organized into three sections.

The Museum Campus contains links to brick-and-mortar museums with an interesting online presence. Most of these sites will have multiple exhibits from their collections (or, in the case of the Smithsonian, displays of items not on display in the Washington museum itself).

The Permanent Collection displays links to exhibits of particular interest to design and advertising.

Galleries, Exhibition, and Shows is an ecelctic and ever-changing list of interesting links to collections and galleries, most of them hosted on personal web pages. In other words, it's where all the good stuff is."

RadarGolf

"Radar Golf has developed a system that offers golfers for the first time the ability to find their off-fairway balls with minimal search time. The system is comprised of an electronically "tagged" golf ball and a handheld unit used to find the ball. These items are the proprietary technology of Radar Golf and the subject of multiple patents. When the golfer hits a shot that is difficult to locate, they pull out the handheld unit, turn it on, and point it in the direction of interest and begin walking toward their ball. By moving the unit from left to right, a pulsed audio tone (from the handheld unit) provides information on ball direction and distance. The golfer quickly walks in the direction of their ball and finds it within seconds, avoiding a delay in the game and the disruption to fellow golfers who come over to help look."

The Flat-Earth Bible

Robert J. Schadewald wrote: "When I first became interested in the flat-earthers in the early 1970s, I was surprised to learn that flat-earthism in the English-speaking world is and always has been entirely based upon the Bible. I have since assembled and read an extensive collection of flat-earth literature. The Biblical arguments for flat-earthism that follow come mainly from my reading of flat-earth literature, augmented by my own reading of the Bible.

Except among Biblical inerrantists, it is generally agreed that the Bible describes an immovable earth. At the 1984 National Bible-Science Conference in Cleveland, geocentrist James N. Hanson told me there are hundreds of scriptures that suggest the earth is immovable."
