Urban Legends Reference Pages

"Q: Is everything on this site about 'urban legends'?
A: In a strict folkloric sense, no. Urban legends are a specific type of folklore, and many of the items discussed on this site do not fall under the folkloric definition of "urban legend." We are following the more expansive popular (if inaccurate) use of "urban legend" as a term that embraces not only urban legends but also common fallacies, misinformation, old wives' tales, strange news stories, rumors, celebrity gossip, and similar items."

Although the Internet has made the task of acquiring an antique as easy as purchasing a book online, there are few places that specialize in restored vintage typewriters . Often times, a seemingly perfect looking vintage typewriter may contain mechanical flaws that have to be repaired by professionals. Only at myTypewriter.com, can you rest assured that you will be receiving a typewriter that is not only physically beautiful, but also mechanically functional."

Revolutionary Online Stapler Simulation

There once was a stapler from Kent,
The staples were awfully bent,
They would not go through,
So i got me a shrew,
And gave up my stapler for lent.
- David XX

The was an old stapler from Peru
Who was dying from nothing to do
When along came a bum
Who with one swig of rum
Stapled some new cardboard shoes

Espresso Stories

"Espresso stories is an idea by the writers Chris Worth and R.P. Bird. It explores a literary form for today's frothed-up, on-the-hoof, want-it-all-now consumer lifestyle: complete stories that take no longer to read than an espresso takes to slurp.

The most basic rule is that they're just a sentence or two, totalling 25 words or less. Less hard-and-fast - but equally vital - are a theme, plot, characters, and narrative development. Everything you'd see in any good story - but short enough to fit into the time it takes to reach the bottom of that bitter little cup, as you ponder on how even the briefest experiences can make life more meaningful."
