Jackstraw Studio, located in Calgary Canada, is home to Hellen Beamish, a fibre and multi-media artist. Hellen works with textiles and uses a variety of techniques for creating her painted silk clothing and accessories.

She has also developed a unique technique that bonds her hand painted silk to glass, thus producing utilitarian serving dishes which double as room accents...all in breathtaking jewel tones.
